Description

The Bykski Full Coverage GPU Water Block and Backplate for Zotac RTX 3070 is a work of art! This full coverage block directly cools the video cards core (GPU), graphics memory (RAM) as well as the voltage regulator modules (VRM). By directly cooling these components you can achieve great temperatures! Along with these temperatures comes the ability to reach higher overclocks or extend the overall lifespan of your card by running at below factory temps.

The block is constructed of high purity copper that is electroplated to prevent oxidation. A high flow design is used to allow multiple blocks to run in series. Top and bottom ports can be used to configure parallel or serial designs in multi block set ups.

The matching backplate is optional.

The best Zotac RTX 3070 waterblock

I won't name names, but there are two waterblocks that are compatible with Zotac's 3070 cards. I've tried both of them, and I want to say that the Bykski waterblock is vastly superior. I won't complain too much about the other one here, but this one has clear instructions, fits perfectly, and does an excellent job of cooling my GPU. When my system is idle, the GPU is at or slightly below the water temperature -- currently 37 C, as compared to an ambient temperature of 23 C. After an hour of stress testing, the GPU is still at a comfortable 63 C, my CPU (a Ryzen 5900X) is at 66 C, and water temperature is 45 C. When I had the other waterblock attached, even after cleaning and reattaching it several times to make sure it was on correctly, my GPU temperature jumped to over 85 C, which seemed so high that I was sure something must be wrong with it.

My only real complaint is that the part of the waterblock that sticks out for attaching couplings seems a little large and gaudy. It could be a bit smaller; it butts up right against the side of my mini-ITX case. It also does not come with any thermal paste, so you'll want to provide your own (but if you're thinking about buying this, surely you've got a tube of arctic silver sitting around anyway, right?).
