in between handy but also challenging to figure out how to get it to work

I thought it would work for me, but the problem is that it won't plug into a corsair command center.,

Hi Raul,
These use a JST-PH connector, not the connector that Corsair uses for theirs. We offer adapters and hubs so they can be used with motherboard 12v RGB headers.
