This N-MS5090DTRIO-X full-coverage block directly cools the video card core (GPU), graphics memory (RAM), and voltage regulator modules (VRM). By directly cooling these components, you can achieve great temperatures and reach higher overclocks while extending the overall lifespan of your card by running at lower temperatures.
A high-flow design allows multiple blocks to run in series. The block can be configured as parallel or serial designs. In multi-block setups, an additional bridge may be needed, depending on your setup.

Generally, thermal pads should be installed on the card where the block has corresponding raised contact points, except the GPU core, which uses thermal paste. Installing pads on other components can lead to improper contact and poor performance.

Pros:
1. Went together quite easily and requires little directions or general knowledge to install.
2. Good price to quality. No machining or coating defects.
3. Unlike competitors, the side mounted distro. allows for a much smaller overall form.
4. Besides the heatsink fins window and distro, anything that can be made of metal, is metal.
Cons:
1. Install manual does not mark a Mosfet for a thermal pad, but the heatsink has a machined position and leaves a gap when not applied.
2. No thermal pads for rear of 12VHPWR connector or rear of GPU core. Only applied on Mosfets and Vram.
3. When horizontally mounted, it does take up 1.20 gpu slots. Not 1 or 2. (Wish they would give a 1 and 2 slot tall end plate).
Overall:
The issues are small, and many companies are going to have a few particular complaints.
I would still recommend the product.
This block works well. But has in my opinion, 3 major issues. 1st is that the bios select switch was not accounted for and is inaccessible once the backplate is installed. 2nd is that the block is secured to the PCB through the backplate instead of the traditional 4 spring loaded screws, making removal of the backplate potentially require you to have to repaste the card. And 3rd, the included slot bracket is just sized weird, it's like 1 1/4 slot so I can't put the slot cover under the card in and its now just an open spot and looks bad. I don't know why the original couldn't be used. Would have looked better. Other than that, I like the terminal location and style. Gives more options for tubing runs
