Before you install it

This is a component, not an assembly — how it goes in depends on the loop it is joining. What does not change is the last step: leak test before power. Run the pump on a bench supply with the rest of the system unpowered. 24 hours is the standard, an hour is the minimum.

Custom water cooling is installed by you, at your own risk. We are not responsible for leaks, or for damage to your parts or system. If you're unsure at any step, ask before you power the loop.

About this part

The CT-D5-180-X-V2 is a pump reservoir combo designed for use in liquid cooling loops. The square armor design gives a distinctive look compared to most pump reservoir combos. The unit features a capacity of 350 milliliters and two intake ports—one port for the loop return, one for filling—along with a single port for outputting coolant. It is mountable on any 120mm fan location using an optional bracket (B-BKT-105).

Minor issues

It's a good product. However, when it arrived it came with a mounting bracket that was already attached and the bracket was bent. Not to big a deal since I didn't think it came with one (or wasn't listed with one) so I had already ordered one for it. I also had issues getting power to it. I tried a couple cables before it finally powered on. I needed to reorganize the cables so I disconnected and reconnected. Then it wouldn't power on again. Disconnected and reconnected a few times with different connectors on the same cable. Finally powered on again.

Everything works fine now. Just makes me think this was a returned or RMA product and that was not what I ordered.
