What installing it actually involves

Three steps, in the order that matters. The one people get wrong is the first.

01
Confirm the hardware

>Memory: DDR5 — the exact model, not the family. Partner boards differ.

02
Mount it dry

Thermal interface material as supplied. Even mounting pressure, correct bracket orientation, no over-torquing.

03
Leak test before power

Run the pump on a bench supply with the rest of the system unpowered. 24 hours is the standard, an hour is the minimum.

Water cooling parts are designed for self-installation by qualified users. Damage caused by installation error isn't covered — if you're unsure at any step, ask before you power the loop.

Put these on my G.SKILL Trident Z5 CK Series DDR5 RAM (Intel XMP 3.0) 48GB (2x24GB) 8200MT/s CL40-52-52-131 1.40V Desktop Computer Memory CU-DIMM - Mirror Black (F5-8200C4052G24GX2-TZ5CK), put a fan over them. They running great with good temps.

Very disappointed

Misleading product images. It is not made clear enough that this is only ONE heatsink, for a single DIMM, while all images of it installed show four. It’s super expensive but I figured it made sense for four of them. A single heatsink for over $50 USD is absurd.

Does not fit my memory (Dual Rank DDR5) - the heatsink does not extend all the way to the bottom of the memory chips, only about halfway down them. I tried installing it anyway. My bare stick next to it runs 3°C cooler under load than the one with the heatsink. The silver lining to all this is that I learned my stock heatsinks were actually insulating my memory, as the bare stick runs over 7°C cooler than stock.

bad fit

Hello,
The heatsink did not sit properly on the ram, preventing me from installing. I have returned the product and I am waiting for refund.

A welcome improvement

I bought these heatsinks to replace the stock G-skill heatsinks on my Hynix A-die, in addition to a fan pointed at the DIMMs. At 1.4v stock, the DIMMs would hit 69c. After the new heatsinks and fan, the same test at 1.5v hit 52c max. 17c improvement while increasing the voltage significantly.

Finally got around to putting these on, so I figured I'd write a review about them

They're substantial heatsinks, they have some heft. Stock settings after ~1 hour of running these versus what came with my Teamgroup DDR5 C36-7200 2x16 kit, there's a huge difference at stock settings. ~43°c vs ~50°c, though ironically when I removed the Teamgroup heatspreader and ran the dimms naked to test them even that ran cooler than their solution by a few degrees. Get what you pay for I guess

Used (KLE-GSW362) automotive wax remover to take the old heatspreaders off, soaked them for ~45 minutes each and they came right off with the help of a plastic spudger. Not that I'm recommending that: use that or your own solution at your own risk of course

Used the little strips that came with this kit for the memory and controller on the front, and 1.5mm Gelid GP-Ultimate thermal pads cut from a 120x120mm square covering the entirety of the back, excluding the RGB which I have no interest in cooling down

IMO, this is a very good product, well worth their cost if you're planning on trying to eke the most out of your system

Questions people ask about this part

Answers specific to B-MRC-X. If yours isn't here, ask — we'd rather talk you out of the wrong part than sell you one.

What does this part fit?
It is machined for >Memory: DDR5. Bykski cut these to a specific hardware layout, so confirm the exact model rather than the family before ordering. Part number B-MRC-X.
Is it in stock, and when will it ship?
Yes — in stock in Boise, Idaho. Orders placed before 2:00 PM MST on a business day ship the same day — we do not ship weekends or US holidays. Overnight delivery is available at checkout.
Can I return it if it turns out not to fit?
Yes. Returns are accepted within 30 days and are easy to start in the support center. Unopened items can be returned for store credit with no restocking fee; other returns carry a restocking fee, higher for items that have been installed or used. So we would rather check the fit with you first: send us the model and we will check it against this part.
Will I pay import duties or customs charges on delivery?
Not on a US order. US import duties and tariffs are already included in the price, so nothing is collected at the door and there is no brokerage fee. Orders shipped outside the US may owe that country's customs fees and duties.
Who handles the warranty?
BYKSKI.US, the exclusive US distributor, from Boise, Idaho. Claims are handled domestically rather than returned to an overseas factory. Damage caused by installation error is not covered.
Is shipping free?
Shipping is free on orders over $125 to addresses in the lower 48 US states.
Are printed instructions included?
No printed manual is included. Installation references are in the product gallery images, and the install guides on this site cover the process step by step.
Do I need anything else to use it?
A water block is one component of a loop: you also need a pump, a radiator, fittings, tubing and coolant. If you are starting from nothing, an AIO or a distro-plate kit is the shorter route — ask and we will spec it.

Send your exact hardware model and we'll confirm the right part before you spend $53.99 — or tell you honestly that this isn't the one.
